Prior to founding Wampanoag Capital LLC in November 2013, Richard E. Tosi Jr. worked from 2010 to 2013 at GLG Ore Hill LLC, a distressed credit hedge fund wholly-owned by Man Group PLC. At Ore Hill, he was a generalist covering bankruptcies, liquidations and other special situations as well as high yield bonds and loans.
Before working at Ore Hill, Mr. Tosi earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010 where he was selected for the Applied Value Investing program at The Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing. From 2007 to 2008, he worked at Southfield Investment Management LLC, a primarily long-only value-oriented firm, as an analyst covering special situations equities and was a generalist responsible for a variety of companies and industries. From 2004 to 2007, he worked at Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle LLP as a paralegal and financial analyst on cases such as Enron and Worldcom. He graduated from Columbia College at Columbia University in 2004 with a B.A. in History and received the CFA charter in 2012.
